Al-Aqsa Mosque

Al-Aqsa Mosque, Al-Masjid al-Aqsa, is present in the Old City of Jerusalem, Mecca is the third-most culinary place in Islam after "Mecca Sharif and Madinah". It is written in history that the mosque was built on top of Temple Mount, which is known in Islam as Al Aqsa Compound or Haramay, Sh-Sharif, several decades after the death of Muhammad صلاله عليه وسلم.
Muslims believe that Muhammad صلاله عليه وسلم of the night of the Meraj was transported here from the great mosque of Mecca. Islamic tradition holds that Muhammad صلاله عليه وسلم prayed to Alaqsa for the 16th or 17th month of his migration from Mecca to Medina, when Allah instructed him to turn to Mecca in Mecca.
